Janice & Donna Hillier welcome you to The Ashford, a family run guest house, providing a relaxed, informal atmosphere and friendly service. Situated on Whitby's West Cliff, the Ashford occupies a superb position in Royal Crescent, overlooking Crescent Gardens and the sea. It is ideally situated for coastal and country walks, and makes an excellent base for exploring the North York Moors.
Take a short drive inland and visit 'Heartbeat Country', the North York Moors Railway, Rievaulx Abbey, Pickering and a myriad of pretty moorland villages ... or take the coast road to discover the attractions of Scarborough, Bridlington & Filey and the charms of the smaller coastal resorts of Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay.
A little further afield you will find the historic city of York, the Spa town of Harrogate and a wealth of country houses and gardens, abbeys and castles.
